Junior Golf Trolley

Why your Young Golfer Should use a Junior Golf Trolley

Walking through eighteen holes of golf can without a doubt be a tiring experience for an adult golfer, imagine then what it could be like for a young golfer to walk the same distance having to carry his bag of clubs and gear the whole way. To make this a little easier many companies are now offering a specialized junior golf trolley custom made to fit junior size golf bags and junior size golfers.

Since the major golf equipment companies have come to realize that today's young players are the future of golf they have started to pay more attention to making golf equipment that is designed especially to fit them. This means that golf clubs are being made that are shorter and lighter to help their game. One other item that can have an indirect effect on their game is the junior golf trolley.

It can be a lot of work carrying a bag full of clubs and gear on a young back and shoulder for hours as they play through eighteen holes. This strain can cause the young player to get over tired and have a direct effect on their shot quality by the time they reach the back nine holes. Using a trolley to carry the weight of their golf bag can be an easy way to take the strain off of their back and shoulder leaving them with plenty of energy even at the last hole.

For the most part the standard junior golf trolley is not much different than the ones that adults use. They consist of a basic frame that is designed to hold the golf bag in place while the trolley is being pulled along behind the player as he walks along the course. Most trolleys have two big wheels to make them easy to maneuver over the variety of terrain players are likely to encounter throughout the course and are designed to stand up at an angle that makes it easy for the player to access his clubs.

The biggest difference in the junior golf trolley is size; they are matched to the size of a junior golf bag so that the young golfer is not trying to lug a huge cart around with a small bag attached to it. Several companies offer them in more than one size so that even the youngest players can have a trolley that fits them.

The junior golf trolley is usually made to be much lighter weight than those for an adult for two reasons; one they do not have to carry as much weight and two the young person is not going to want to have to pull a hefty trolley all over the course. The whole ideas behind a trolley is to reduce the effort needed to carry their clubs and a heavy cart will do just the opposite and make things worse instead of better. Several trolleys have started to include a water bottle holder for the young player to keep his refreshments handy since some junior bags may not have anywhere to keep them.

While it may seem unnecessary for a young player to use a golf trolley, using one can in fact have a major impact on how well they play from the first tee off to the eighteenth hole. Something they will surely come to appreciate very quickly especially if they have to carry their clubs a few times before they get one.
